Our Story
BlueSky was founded on the simple principal that Hawaii's businesses and non-profits deserve to have their best interest at heart when it comes to realizing the benefits of energy solutions such as solar PV, solar hot water, LED lighting and other technologies.
In working on hundred's of energy projects throughout Hawaii, BlueSky's founder, Josh Mason, observed numerous areas in which a customer's best interests could be better served and ways projects could be more successful for everyone involved. From this the vision was born of industry experts representing the needs of the client first and foremost... experts who are genuine in their efforts to save a client time and money... experts who guide a client through energy investments they can be confident in... experts who treat clients as they would their own ohana.
This is our story, our vision, and our drive day in and day out.
This is BlueSky Energy Advisors!

Matson
415kW PV, Roofing, Structural
Requiring extensive load profiling and design modeling, this project was not without significant challenges from the outset. To compound the challenges, significant structural upgrades and roofing considerations were required to achieve a lasting, low maintenace PV solution. Tipping the scale at 415kw, this is one of the larger commercial PV systems installed in Hawaii.
Bank of Hawaii, FFP
110kW Solar PV, Roofing
Installing 110kw of solar on a 23 story highrise economically is no simple task. This project required significant design & selection due diligence and an impressive, collaborative effort to complete the project. The actual installation required utilizing a helecopter to get equipment to the roof, coordination with the roofing contractor, and a 23 story electrical home run. Talk about fun!
Bayview Golf Course
263kW Solar PV
This project presented significant engineering and design challenges to achieve maximum economics. The final product is six PV systems installed on all three on-site buildings, offsetting nearly 100% of the site's electrical consumption. The project was funded under a PPA, resulting in now out of pocket cost for Windward Nazarene, immediate savings from day 1, and energy security for the future.
Oahu Country Club
313kW Solar PV, Roofing
Undoubtedly, one of the more complex PV projects completed in Hawaii for a private organization. This project required extensive design, engineering, project planning, safety planning, and execution... all with a healthy dose of creativity. The system is made up of 4 different systems installed over 6 different buildings and a ground mount system, all funded under a PPA. A true hole in one!
Hawaii Baptist Academy
500kW Solar PV, Roofing
Nearly 500 kW of PV installed over 4 different campuses, HBA collectively has one of the largest Solar PV sources of energy of any private school in the state. Working on roofs with children at play below requires an extra level of safety and planning. Creative roofing solutions were also utilized to achieve maximum eonomics and minimal long term maintenance.
Watermark AOAO
163kW Solar PV
Watermark AOAO is a beautiful condo complex bordering the Ala Wai. Overcoming significant design and engineering challenges, this project was completed as a 163kw system that will provide significant savings from day one on CAM fees for owners and a more stable energy future. Funded under a PPA, this project required no out of pocket expense for the AOAO.
